Robin is a Non-Executive Director of InvestUK. Previously Robin was with Kleinwort Benson for 38 years - from 1986 to 1996 as group vice-chairman in charge of the banking and treasury divisions and chairman of the credit committee as well as a member of the risk and underwriting committee, and from 1997 to 1999 as President of Kleinwort Benson Asia. He has held a number of senior public and private positions including Chairman of Council at City University Business School, Member of Council at University College London, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the British Bankers’ Association, Chairman of The China Investment & Development Fund Ltd as well as Non-Executive Director roles at Barclays Bank International, The Bank of New South Wales (Westpac), Credit Commercial de France and Credit Lyonnais. Robin is also currently chairman of Anglo-Sino Capital Partners and of Lombard Risk Consultants Ltd. He was educated at Winchester College and Oxford and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.
Eva holds a degree in international business from Gothenburg University and University of Technology Sydney. She graduated in 2003 and left Sweden to work in the US and Australia before settling in London which has been her home for the last 7 years. She established her own company in the music industry where she was running a variety of technology and brand management projects and has also worked across a range of marketing disciplines in entrepreneurial environments. Eva is now managing InvestUK’s West African investors coming to the UK on the Tier 1 Visa programme.
Bill has been a Chartered Accountant for over 20 years and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW). He originally trained with Arthur Andersen & Co in London as a statutory auditor before moving onto a number of Investment banks including NatWest Markets and Barclays de Zoete Wedd.
Following this he worked for 8 years working as the group financial controller of the Klesch & Company Group working across a number of fields including private equity, hedge funds and corporate finance. Bill's specialism lies in the financial services Industry with extensive knowledge in risk management, cash flow management and regulatory issues.
Dr Mo Al-Qaisi is the Chairman of InvestUK (Middle East) Ltd. Dr Al-Qaisi carried out undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge, Imperial College London and the King’s College London Medical School. He has significant experience in academia, where he pioneered a novel imaging technique and launched a medical device company in the UK. Dr Al-Qaisi has a specialist interest and over 15 years of experience in the healthcare and property investment fields. Additionally, Dr Al-Qaisi has launched several innovative e-healthcare and property investment businesses in the UK and the Middle East. Dr Al-Qaisi leads the Middle East team with a focus on liaising with partners and clients in the region.
Originally from China, Lily is a Director of InvestUK with a focus on the Chinese market. Her role encapsulates bringing on new clients from international partners and law firms in addition to building our presence in new regions. Lily has completed a Bachelor Degree of Administration from Shanxi Unversity of Finance and Economics and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Durham. Lily also has had significant experience in finance and media, establishing a financial management system in China, a qualified tax accountant in China and Australia. Prior to joining InvestUK she was the Vice President of Henan Province Cable TV Network Group.
Olufemi is InvestUK West Africa's International Director and will be focusing on the development of client pipeline in West Africa both through indificudals and access to institutions and referrals. Olufemi studied History and Political Science at the University of Ise and is a qualified accountant, member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ACA) and completed an IFRS executive course at INSEAD. Olufemi has an established career in Banking and has held Executive level positions at publicly listed companies.
A founding Director of Invest UK (West Africa) Ltd and a lawyer with over 25 years' worth of experience in the Banking and financial sectors. He joined HSBC in the UK in 1997 and held a number of roles within the corporate, commercial and personal financial planning divisions. In 2007 he moved to the HSBC International HQ in Jersey as senior international wealth manager, with a focus on the provision of cross border wealth planning and delivery of HSBC asset management to global high net worth clients. This saw him working with clients in Malta , Dubai, Hong Kong , Singapore and South Africa. A refocus on West African clients led him join Access Private Bank (UK) which brought him back to Nigeria in 2012 .For the last year he has run his own private wealth consultancy, focused on provision of family office services to West African high net worth clients.
Jing is the Client Director of InvestUK (China). She is also a founder and Director of Beacon Education and Good Enterprise Ltd. After graduating in Finance and Legal Management, Jing spent several years working as a freelance education consultant to Chinese students. In 2012, she joined small boutique firm Good Enterprise Ltd as an immigration consultant with focus on Chinese students. Her extensive links with Chinese business community enabled her to re-focus the firm’s target on HNWIs seeking business and investment opportunities in the UK. Jing particularly enjoys challenging cases, where she is able to offer alternative solutions and provide full business planning services. Her knowledge of UK’s immigration system together with strong network of contacts with professionals and wider business community made it possible to build s strong referral network of clients. She also founded Beacon Education and established partnerships with Chinese middle schools in order to bring traditional British education to China, to help Chinese students to communicate more effectively across borders and cultures and to promote greater international understanding and co-operation between the UK and China.
